Reflections Art Contest
Started in 1969, Reflections is a National PTA program and the largest of its kind in the United States. Reflections is open to all grades and abilities. Students express themselves through their own original works created around a theme that changes each year. This year’s theme: What my culture means to me.
Reflections isn’t just an art contest — it’s a wonderful opportunity for our RHE kids to express themselves, take creative risks, and be celebrated for their imagination and hard work. Whether they love to draw, paint, write, dance, take photos, film videos, or compose music, this program encourages every student to explore their creativity and share what their "culture means to them".
Deadline: Friday, November 6, 2026
How to submit:
-
Have your child create an original artwork inspired by the theme “What My Culture Means to Me.”
-
For Visual Arts, only 2D artwork (flat work that can be photographed easily) is eligible. Unfortunately, 3D artwork cannot be accepted.
-
Take a clear photo of the artwork (make sure the image shows it well!).
-
Do not include your child’s name on the artwork itself — names should appear only on the entry form.
-
The artist statement must be written by the child (they may dictate to a parent if they need help typing—but it must be their own words).
-
Complete the fillable entry form in full.
-
Email both the photo of the artwork and the completed form to ReflectionsRHE@gmail.com
