How to Volunteer at our School
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! The students so appreciate it. Please follow these two steps to be registered as a volunteer:
- Fill out the LWSD volunteer application and get approved by the LWSD
- Reach out to our volunteer coordinator and let us know how you want to help
There are many ways to volunteer. You can help out a little or a lot, whatever works for you and your family. Anything helps us put on fun events for the school. Here are some options:

| Take a shift at an event |
1-2 hours for setup, cleanup, or running an activity (Back to School Night, Bingo Night, etc.).

| Art docent |
1 hour a month in the classroom plus prep time if you are a lead.

| Trunk or Treat |
1-2 hours at the event, and think of a them and decorate your car ahead of time. PTSA provides candy and non-food items.

| STEM Night |
2 hours at the event, and prepare fun STEM activity ahead of time.
|
| Cultural Night |
2 hours at the event, and prepare booth with activity, food, or posterboard/multimedia ahead of time. This is often a joint effort between several families.

| Staff Appreciation Team |
1 or 2 activities a month (2-4 hrs), ordering/delivering food/drinks/treats.
|
| Running club |
1 recess every 2 weeks, half an hour each shift.
|
| Lead an event |
More time intensive. We have resources from past events to make this easier
|
| Lead an initiative |
More time intensive. Options include yearbook, Reflections art contest, reading challenges, math challenges, and more.
|
| Lead an extracurricular |
More time intensive. We have vendors for many activities and need a coordinator to run activities outside of school hours.
